Schedule a Gallery Visit!

It’s here and you’re invited to visit the newly created Jay Rasmussen Photography Gallery in Maplewood, MN. On the land we live, originally stewarded by the Lakota and Ojibwe people, we converted our 1916 vintage barn into a safe space to view my landscape and cityscape photography. Over 60 different images are on display in all mediums, sizes, and price ranges. And, we’d love to have you stop by for a visit!

This gallery, created with the help of a cadre of friends, is open by appointment and only one family of five or less will be admitted to the well-ventilated gallery space for a half hour time period. Masks, gloves, and 6’ distancing are required.

Please send a message to rasjay@bethel.edu to schedule your visit! In the message mention the date, number of people in your party, and approximate time you’d like for your gallery visit. I will then confirm your half hour time period and will provide directions. One car per group is appreciated.

If you’re not able to visit the gallery in person please enjoy viewing my work on this website!

Testimonials

"Every time I visit with Jay I learn something new about photography, a location he has captured, or a life lesson that translates from one of his images. In fact, that is what I enjoy about both Jay and his art, each piece reflects a story that he is eager to share. And his marvelous turn-of-the-century barn gallery is filled with stories on every wall - each piece drawing you in to a shared experience. If you're looking for an intimate, rewarding art experience, spend some time in Jay's story barn."

"It was so much fun touring your gallery in the barn. Meeting you and hearing the stories behind the pictures really adds value to my growing collection. We started at 1 and are now at 5! I find myself telling the story of each picture to family and friends…which is not what I expected when I purchased. Very proud to have the Jay Rasmussen art work on my walls."

"Jay’s work has been an inspiration for me as a photographer. I’ve been in a lot of museums and galleries around the world, and would recommend a visit to Jay’s gallery that showcases some of the highest quality and breathtaking work I’ve ever seen. The historic barn adds to the gallery’s charm and perfectly showcases his attention to detail, it’s a delightful experience."

"My wife and I had an opportunity to meet Jay at his new gallery to pick up our new aluminum print. What a great experience it was! Jay’s gallery is an old farm house/barn that he refurbished. This gallery has wonderful character which is a perfect backdrop for showcasing his photography in a very peaceful setting. It was a great little get-a-way to have a private showing and great conversation around the love of photography.”
